I was talking to my mom last night and we realized i should be grateful for how easy of a culture transition this has been - staying at a family friend’s place for the first week, then having American friends visit London whom i can explore with. i would not have done anything touristy if i was by myself tbh
Also, people in this country LOVE the queen.
Went to a tea tasting with Caleb as well where we specifically only drank single-varietal leaves grown in Japan. Connected with ppl in the food + beverage industry here (a lot more elite than what i can afford) but also met a Japanese baker, Sachi, who’s opening up a Japanese bakery (Hachi) in November. Although i probably wouldn’t be able to afford most of the establishments these people represent, you never know what connection you may make
