Picked up a new habit: reading while riding the Tube. Cell signal is absolute garbage in the underground so you’ll see a lot of people reading books to pass the time.

Freja introduced me to her friend Jamie, who runs a small agency, Bold, that works with local businesses in Barnes (reminds me A LOT of Elevate). It sounds like he’s extremely ambitious with his company and wants to bring me on for content as well as branding and strategy. I’ve been a part of small agencies before and have been screwed over so I’m always hesitant when approached to do this work.

What this agency would offer is opportunity for me to continue honing my skills and have regimented tasks I can do every day. However, I don’t see much opportunity for growth under a mentorship here that I haven’t done before. Perhaps working with the local businesses and getting to know the community would offer me insights. After meeting with Morning.fyi yesterday, that caliber is all I can think of for my next step. Although they're young, they're set on a solid foundation led by founders with extensive years of experience and have a mission backed by a thesis that I’m passionate about.

The English love drinking at pubs after work.
