BDAY
Meeting Freja in central London today so we can find a coffee shop and be productive. While riding the Tube, a black splatter dropped from the ceiling, reminding me this system was built in the 1890s and old asf. I’m just glad it wasn’t Venom.
We decided to meet at a shop in Seven Dials and i loved the colors of this egg yolk; it matched perfectly with the smoked salmon. It reminds me food isn’t only about taste and texture, but color as well.
Per usual, i took a walk around the neighborhood to take a break and move around. Found this dude just posing by his vintage car looking straight up like a Peaky Blinder. Wandered into an art gallery, called The Hook, that just started in May and already have three storefronts. They feature small to mid-sized artists to help them receive the recognition they deserve. My favorite was the framed carpet.
Grabbed another coffee from Monmouth Coffee Co and they have reusable cups too! Im used to Daydrink and Horizon Line’s mason jars back home but Monmouth’s is a ceramic cup with rubber top. Also grabbed some treats at Seven Dials Market (GYATT i need to go back the street food there was magnificently multicultural) and intro’d Freja to Taiwanese wheel cakes.
To celebrate my birthday, Freja took me out with her mates to a comedy club then a pub called O’Neill’s in Chinatown (lmaooo). Left at 3am and the bus back to Richmond took 1.5hrs……….
London is fantastic because every day is different here.
