PERSONAL PROJECT
I appreciate other cultures and think exploration is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Once you can start seeing the world through different perspectives and lenses, your worldview will expand to empathize with others, especially important in a world that's becoming more globalized.
This study abroad film was conceived as Europe descended into lockdown in March 2020 due to Covid-19. I knew I wanted to create a video about my experience before going to Paris. However, with Covid's rapid disruption, the video, which I had planned to work on slowly at the end of my time abroad, had to be conceived and shot within a week. This video truly was a run-and-gun experience, gathering content while planning sequences to edit back in the US.
The end product was an ode from my friends and me as we reminisced about our short time abroad while appreciating the great, little moments.
